Welcome to the webpage of Runtime World. Runtime World is a generic, engine-agnostic brush-based 3D world editor written to assist game developers on creating 3D world for their games.

Current Runtime World is in alpha version and can be downloaded and tested for free from this site. Please post on the forum with any feedback or bug report you may have.

Buy Runtime World

You can buy Runtime World from here (the download includes all supported systems - see the downloads table below for a list). Currently Runtime World costs only $10 and this will be the price until the program enters in beta phase. While in the beta phase, Runtime World will cost $20 and after the beta phase is finished and the final "1.0" version is out, the price will raise to $30.

While in alpha phase (the current phase) there will not be any functional difference between the free and the paid version of Runtime World, except a thank you message in the paid version's about box. So practically you do not need to buy the program in order to use it. However, i would really appreciate the support - and the amount of time i will spend in the future on Runtime World will be greatly affected by the number of people that buy the program (in other words, if nobody buys it, don't expect much updates :-P).

Note that a free version for level designers will be available even after the beta phase. The paid version will contain extra tools (such as geometry export) for engine developers.

Future Updates

When the final version is out, you will be able to get future updates for free for a year after your purchase or until a new major version (assuming the "major.minor" version format) is released - whichever comes last.

While in alpha and beta phases, you will get future updates until the final version is out plus one additional year (so, for example, if the final version is released one year after your purchase, you will have free updates for two years).
